Are you interested in fostering canines or felines?

If you are ready to roll your sleeves up and provide lifesaving care to an animal, fostering may be for you! Fostering is a key part of an animal’s path to adoption!  Volunteer through the Shannon Wass & Dan Kelmenson Foster Care Program at HSSV to give temporary shelter, care and love to the animals that need it the most.

We are always looking for new foster parents.  Signing up is easy and just a click away.  Whether you’re interested in cats, dogs, or both, you will have to first complete our online foster onboarding! Although family members may be under 18, the primary foster volunteer must be 18 years old or older.

Are you interested in fostering felines?

Whether you have previous feline experience or not, signing up to foster couldn’t be easier! Although family members may be under 18, the primary foster volunteer must be 18 or older.  These steps should be completed by the primary foster volunteer.

*Please note that our highest need is for foster parents willing to open up their homes to underage kittens (under 8 weeks old).

Please complete the following steps:

Step #1: Register as a new volunteer using the link below.

Step #2: Complete our 45 minute online foster onboarding.  You will receive the link upon completion of step #1

Step #3: Sign up to pick up a feline/s.  After you complete onboarding, you will be added to our active foster list where the foster team will reach out when we have foster needs (this might happen right away!)
