Offering sick, injured, and non-emergency veterinary care for family pets who need our services the most.

Services at HSSV’s Essential Care Clinic include physical exams and treatments for the most common illnesses and injuries found in cats and dogs – plus we also include vaccines, dewormer, flea/tick treatment, and microchips if needed.

Our clinic is open by appointment, on Wednesdays only from 10A – 4P, and located at Capitol Park, 800 Peter Pan Ave, San Jose, CA 95116.

OUR CLIENTS

No pet should ever have to suffer due to financial hardship. Our clients may be unemployed, underemployed, or live paycheck-to-paycheck-  and struggle to meet basic needs like food and health care.  Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are able to offer high-quality treatment options for families that want the very best for their pets, but find it challenging to afford essential veterinary care.

If veterinary care is already accessible to you, please continue to support your local veterinary practice and help reserve limited resources for pet families in need.

OUR CARE

Our essential care services cover treatment of common conditions found in cats and dogs. Our services are meant to be supportive, and appointments are not intended for life-threatening or critical immediate medical concerns. We will provide basic diagnostics and treatment, along with medications if your pet requires them.

APPOINTMENT TYPES

Treatments are offered at transparent prices so clients know exactly what to expect when they make an appointment. While our prices are fixed, our treatment plans are designed to meet the individual needs of each pet for the conditions listed below. All services include a physical exam, and when needed, core vaccines, de-wormer, flea/tick treatment, microchip and medication. Please note that pets may have illnesses or injuries that we are not able to treat.
