Stocks, IRAs, 401Ks
Stock gifts (and other securities) can be the perfect way to make the impact you envision! In addition to providing valued support to our four- and two-legged clients, you may even gain tax advantages. And if you’d like to share a gift from your retirement account with the animals, you can do that too.

Giving through your paycheck is an easy way to consistently support the lifesaving work that matters to you. Talk to your company to learn if this is an option for you. They may even match your giving by 50%, 100%, or even 200%!
Something to keep in mind – if you include your name on your match request to your company, we will be able to confirm when your gift has been matched!

Honor and Memorial Gifts
A gift honoring a special person or pet adds extra meaning to a special occasion, birthday, or holiday. And memorial gifts help us honor our two- and four-legged loved ones, creating a legacy of lifesaving impact in their name.
Having the option to personalize a note or email lets your honoree or their family know you’re thinking of them and helping animals in their name.
Please reach out to us at 408-262-2133 extension 123 or email@example.com if you have questions about making your gift.
Remembering Our Loved Ones = Saving More Lives
When you donate toward a Tribute Brick here at HSSV, you are not only permanently honoring a beloved person or pet; you are directly saving lives. Joan memorialized her favorite people and pets over the years with several bricks near our fountain at the front of our Animal Community Center. Why? Because HSSV has been a part of her life since she was a child, and she knows with each gift toward a brick, she is saving more animals in need.
Sponsor an Animal’s Care
Has one of our adoptable animal guests caught your eye and tugged at your heart? Because it is important to us that adoption is broadly accessible from a cost standpoint, our fees do not cover the more than $300 spent on each animal’s food, shelter, enrichment, and veterinary care. By making a gift to sponsor the care of a special adoptable pet, you help ensure that our adoption programs – and all the critical care elements that make us a model shelter – will be available to everyone, for years to come.
To make a gift of sponsorship, visit our adoption pages, open the profile of the animal you love and click “Sponsor Me”.
Sponsor The Fur Ball! Our annual hallmark event generates more than $1 million in lifesaving funds each year, and event sponsors are key contributors to that success!
Your sponsorship will connect you to a network of high-impact individuals with like-minded values while showcasing your philanthropy and commitment to animals in need in our community and beyond.
