Community Engagement
We bring people together—through group experiences and community events—to create brighter futures for animals in need.
Driving Impact Together
At HSSV, we believe every connection is a chance to create change—for animals and the people who love them. Community Engagement brings together mission-driven partners, passionate individuals, and engaged organizations to amplify awareness, raise vital funds, and strengthen our impact.
Whether through on-site group volunteer events, community fundraisers, creative collaborations, or hosted directly at your organization, we’re building meaningful relationships that extend beyond the shelter walls and into the heart of our community. The more we show up for each other, the more we can show up for animals in need.
For Organizations
Corporate teams or other groups looking to give back in a meaningful way can partner with HSSV through hands-on experiences that directly support animals and their people. Whether you’re assembling care packages, improving our spaces, or engaging your team from your location, each activity helps save lives, support families, and strengthen the community we all share.
-
- Pet Pantry Packing: Help Keep Families Together with HSSV and prepare food packages for our community members and distribution partners like LiveMoves, PATH, and Abode. Be a part of ensuring no family is separated due to the need for pet food.
-
- Green Paw Patrol: Spend some time keeping our shelter and dog walking paths clear of animal hazards, like foxtails. Make sure every animal has an enriching stay when heading outside for a walk in the park.
-
- Group Onsite: Make an impact for local animals from the comfort of your own location. In this unique opportunity, HSSV will bring the activities directly to you!
For Community Partners
Looking for a way to collaborate with HSSV at your next community event? From seasonal pop-ups to citywide celebrations, our Community Engagement team helps raise awareness and spark conversations about animal welfare.
Whether it’s photos with Santa or the Easter Bunny, marching in the Pride Parade or attending Bark in the Park, we love partnering on events that uplift animals and bring our community together. Have something in the works? Let’s make it meaningful—together.
