The Fur Ball was Extraordinary

We had an amazing time at The Fur Ball 2024, and we’re incredibly grateful to our community for making the event’s grand return such a success. More than 600 guests and 100 canine companions gathered at PayPal Park in support of Humane Society Silicon Valley’s mission, setting all-time records for attendance and fundraising!

During the event we honored Judy Marcus who helped envision The Fur Ball’s concept more than two decades ago. We also premiered a short film about all the incredible things HSSV has been doing to help save lives, keep families together, and create a better future for pets and their people. Watch it here:

Kittens and puppies currently thriving in our foster program were in attendance, as well as adopted animals who were rehabilitated by HSSV and given a second chance at a good life.

We also learned more about how HSSV is Keeping Families Together and providing support to pets and people in need through programs like Pet Pantry, Mobile Wellness Clinics, and more.

Our live auction featured experiences with two GOATs – the winningest coach in NCAA history and Honorary Board Member Tara VanDerveer, and NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Kira Klapper for emceeing the event, Keith McLane for hosting our live auction, and our Presenting Sponsor Finn’s Mom for her generous support. Special thanks also to our sponsors: Boehringer Ingelheim, CEFCU, Highland Park Whisky, Advantech, Goodwin, Heavenly Greens, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and The Whole Pet Vet.

We were so inspired by all the people (and pets!) who came together to make The Fur Ball 2024 a totally unforgettable event, and we hope to see you all at The Fur Ball next year. Details to follow soon!

  1. HSSV has long been a leader in the no kill shelters and rehabilitation of fur babies giving them a second chance at life. God bless you for the work you do and will continue to do.
