Join us for TAILGATE, a special adoption event where you can meet foster families and the amazing dogs they’re caring for. From playful pups to gentle companions, you’ll have the chance to connect with dogs ready to find their loving homes.
Not ready to find your best friend? Then stay for Yappy Hour! During this canine foster training session, you will learn all about the many ways foster families can support dogs in need through demos and hands-on training. You will meet the HSSV foster team, your volunteer mentors, and a variety of four-legged foster candidates. You can even take home a dog or puppies that same day!
This class is open to all puppies 8 weeks to 8 months old. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun learning environment that will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to successfully work with your puppy!
Yappy Hours are the perfect way new foster parents to meet the HSSV foster community and find a the perfect match for your family! You will also learn helpful tips and tricks to make your puppy foster experience fun and rewarding!
This class is designed for dogs 5 months or older. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun learning environment that will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to successfully work with your dog!
Wouldn't it be nice for your daily walk to be a relaxing experience rather than a rowdy romp as your dog drags you down the street? Are you confident your dog would come back to you in an emergency? Join us for this 3-week, in-person class that will focus exclusively on the skills designed to teach your dog to walk politely on a leash and to come when called even in the midst of distractions and temptations. In addition to not pulling, we will also work on how to get your dog past distractions without losing their mind, whether they are anxious or just super excited! We will give you the tools to continue this training at home to ensure your pup has great loose-leash skills and reliable recall!

This class is open to all dogs, ages 8 weeks and older. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun learning environment that will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to successfully work with your pup!
Continue building your and your dog's skill set in agility with this fun course! Using the obstacles your dog has already learned, this class will continue to finesse your dog's execution, including raising the height of the teeter totter and refining your handling skills.

Our neighborhood vaccine clinics are specifically designed to provide affordable vaccinations for families of pets in high-need areas with limited access to affordable veterinary care. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
This class is a great fit for those planning to participate in dog sports like agility, but also for any handler of an easily distracted, impulsive and/or insecure dog. This a positive reinforcement-based training class; food and toy rewards are utilized throughout the course. No makeup sessions will be offered.
