Demand for spay and neuter services is at an all-time high, and we’re committed to meeting that need in the most effective way possible. Our programs focus on helping at-risk animals and supporting families with limited access to affordable care.

Ready to book your pet’s spay or neuter appointment? Start here to learn more about eligibility, available services, and how to request an appointment. Once your appointment is confirmed, you will drop your pet off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon on the same day.

Due to high demand, surgery spaces are limited. Appointments are released on the second and last Sunday of each month. Appointments are required, however, we do welcome walk-ups for cats and dogs under 40lbs if we have available appointments that morning. Examples of large dog breeds: Cane Corso, Bernese Mountain Dog, Doberman, Mastiff, Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, and Rottweiler. Pets must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Must be a resident of Santa Clara County
• Dogs and Cats must be privately-owned. For community cats, visit our TNR page.

What’s Included:
Each surgery includes a bundled package with:

• Core Vaccines
  • DASPP for dogs
  • FVRCP for cats
  • Rabies vaccine
• Dewormer
• Topical flea treatment
• Microchip
• Nail trim
  **E-collars are provided for dogs after surgery**

*Please Note: For Dobermans: We require pre-surgical blood tests to detect Von Willebrand disease (vWD), a common genetic bleeding disorder in the breed that can cause dangerous bleeding during surgery. HSSV does not offer this testing – you will need to have this blood test done through your primary veterinarian.
