Remi is a female, 10 week old, 10lb, puppy looking for a foster home while she is awaiting a consultation.
When she came in, our vet team noticed that there was the presence of dermoids in both eyes. A dermoid is a small area of skin like tissue that develops on or around the eye and may have hair growing from it.
In the left eye, the dermoid is near the outer corner and appears connected to the surrounding skin. In the right eye, the dermoid is located on the cornea and moves with the eye so an ophthalmology consultation is recommended to determine the best way to manage the dermoids. We do not currently have an appointment scheduled for her consultation, but we are expecting Remi to need foster for a few weeks!
If you are able to foster Remi, please email canine.foster@hssv.org to schedule a pick up!
