DESCRIPTION:Have a new puppy? Looking for puppy socials with a little bit more? This 3-week course offers all the fun and social learning of puppy socials\, PLUS: \n1. Transform your puppy-gator into a nice\, sweet puppy by learning bite inhibition\n2. Reduce leash reactivity by teaching your pup to tolerate other puppies playing.\n3. Enjoy safer play dates and outings with your pup by learning appropriate dog-dog play.\n4. Bomb-proof your pup to neighborhood distractions with environmental enrichment.\n5. Have better control of your pup by teaching them to come away from play; BE the most fun to your pup!Class will run for 3 weekly sessions\, meeting on the same day and time of the week. This class starts on Saturday\, November 15th from 10:00 – 10:50 am. \nThis class will NOT meet on November 29th. The last class in this 3-session series will be on December 6th.

SUMMARY:Beginning Puppy Training (Hybrid) - Starting 11/15/25 at 11:15 AM
DESCRIPTION:The first session of this six-week series will be held online. The remaining five classes will be held in-person at HSSV. Attendance at the Week 1 orientation is mandatory. Please reach out to your trainer if you cannot attend the first class. If you miss this first session without notice\, you may not be allowed to attend the rest of the course. In addition to talking about how dogs learn and addressing common behavior challenges\, we will go over the training methods and equipment that you will need for our onsite sessions\, and the class protocols for the rest of the course. No make-up sessions will be offered. Aside from week 1\, this class is held outdoors\, in the dog training yard. In case of inclement weather\, including rain or excessive heat\, class may be moved to Zoom or postponed. Any skipped class dates will be added to the end of the course\, on the same day and time as the regular class time.Class will run for 6 weekly sessions\, meeting on the same day and time of the week. This class starts on Saturday\, November 15th from 11:15am – 12:05pm \nSKIP DATES: This class will NOT meet on Nov. 29th or Dec. 27th. The last day of this class will be on January 3rd.

DESCRIPTION:Have you already attended one of our 3-Week Puppy Socialization clases\, but your pup is now too old for these classes? Looking to continue your older puppy’s socialization while also learning about the challenges of adolescence? “Puppy Socialization – LEVEL 2 Older Puppies” classes are the answer! In this 3-week course\, your pup will continue to learn to socialize appropriately with other dogs\, while you learn how to keep their attention in distracting environments\, while navigating the challenges of puppy adolescence. Topics will include distraction recalls\, emergency handling\, and increased focus on you instead of passing distractions. \nRequirements: Completion of puppy socialization -or- note from dog professional who has observed the dog in other puppy socials\, doggy day care\, or boarding.Class will run for 3 weekly sessions\, meeting on the same day and time of the week. This class starts on Sunday\, November 16th from 11:00 – 11:50 AM. \nThere will NOT be class held on November 23rd. The last class in this session will be on December 7th.
