DESCRIPTION:Class Fee: $225. Recreational Agility 1 will introduce you and your dog to the fun of agility! All sessions of this six-week series will be held in-person at HSSV. This class is for dogs that are able to work in close proximity to other dogs and people (while still maintaining social distance). Not suitable for dog-aggressive or people-aggressive dogs\, including leash reactivity. Please note that only two handlers per dog are allowed. This class is held outdoors\, in the dog sports yard. In case of inclement weather\, including rain or excessive heat\, class may be postponed. Any skipped class dates will be added to the end of the course\, on the same day and time as the regular class time. \nRegister Now

DESCRIPTION:Class will run for six sessions\, meeting on the same day and time of the week. This class starts on Tuesday\, January 6th from 7:45 – 8:35 pm. The last class in this six-session series will be on February 10th. \nAgility is one of the best-known and popular dog sports. Using positive reinforcement\, dogs will be introduced to jumps\, tunnels\, and other beginner-friendly obstacles. You will start simple sequencing\, learn handling skills\, and try short sequences with your dog. \nNose Work is a confidence-boosting scent game that taps into your dog’s natural sniffing abilities. You and your dog will be introduced to scent work\, odor identification\, and scent-based puzzles that help your dog think\, explore\, and use their noses in rewarding ways. Your dog will learn to detect a particular odor while building focus\, independence\, and excitement for searching. \nFlyball will introduce you and your dog to one of the most exciting and fast-paced dog sports. Dogs will be introduced to foundational Flyball skills including jumping hurdles\, triggering the Flyball box\, retrieving a tennis ball\, and returning to their handler.
