Euthanasia Services

Choosing to put a loved companion animal down can be a very difficult decision. Humane Society Silicon Valley provides a humane, painless and dignified death for your pets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and you are welcome to be present during your pet's euthanasia. We also offer private or communal cremations as a service to owners.

Cremations are returned in a finished cedar urn accompanied by a memorial card for the pet owner. A Pawprint ceramic plaque can be created to memorialize your pet (for private cremations only). The plaque consists of a blue pawprint on a white ceramic background (cost $55 and the easel to display the plaque is included). Your pet's hind foot will be used for the imprint unless otherwise requested.

  • Small animal (hamster, mouse, guinea pig, chinchilla) $15
  • Reptile $55

Care of Body Fee

  • Dog/Cat/Rabbit $25
  • Small animal (hamster, mouse, guinea pig, chinchilla) $10
  • Large animal (goat, pig) $50

Cremation Fees

  • 0-2 lbs $70
  • 3-49 lbs $140
  • 50-99 lbs $180
  • 100 lbs and over $265

Group cremations

  • Cats $30
  • Dogs $35
