Wildlife
Our Rescue Program
Humane Society Silicon Valley accepts any wildlife that comes brought to our shelter. Some have not passed their health or temperament evaluation or simply do not do well in a shelter environment. We not only find alternative places for dogs and cats but also work with groups that take farm animals, reptiles, ferrets, exotic birds, and even monkeys!

Wildlife
Due to budget constraints, the Humane Society no longer has a wildlife department. However, we do take any wildlife that comes to our door. We help to assess and stabilize the animals that are received here, and then they are transferred to the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley in San Jose for rehabilitation and eventual release.

Although we are open 24 hours a day for incoming animals, it is usually preferable to take any found wild animals directly to the Wildlife Center during their business hours. Their phone number is (408) 929-WILD.
