A DOG'S LIFE
Humane Society Silicon Valley has chosen A Dog’s Life to provide doggie daycare, boarding, training and grooming services at our new Animal Community Center. A DOG'S LIFE is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for dogs via socialization, exercise and play utilizing only true non-aversive and positive reinforcement techniques. The organization donates a portion of all proceeds to help support HSSV. For more information click here.
PETCO

Humane Society Silicon Valley has partnered with PETCO to offer a new satellite adoption center in the El Paseo de Saratoga Shopping Center, 500 El Paseo De Saratoga in San Jose. The adoption center features dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets in need of permanent, loving homes. All animals available for adoption in our PETCO satellite adoption center can be viewed on this website. Just click on Adopt a Pet and then Available Animals.

The center has regular hours for viewing and adopting animals, which are posted at PETCO.

Royal Canin is the official sponsor of HSSV's Adoption Program, and the cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in our care are served Royal Canin dog and cat food because of its high quality. Royal Canin customizes their food for all the sizes, life stages and needs of an animal, and offers breed-specific foods as well.

HSSV exclusively uses HomeAgain microchips for all of the dogs, cats, and rabbits adopted through HSSV – in both Milpitas and PETCO El Paseo de Saratoga adoption locations – as well as for pets of clients who come to HSSV’s Medical Center (and mobile microchipping van, at special events).

 


Bring Light

Bring Light is a new website dedicated to helping nonprofits raise money through online donations. HSSV is listed on the site and people can fund various projects to help animals in our care.

 


Sonya Paz

Santa Clara Artist Sonya Paz donates a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of her animal artwork to HSSV. Sonya donated her time and talent by painting some of our dog habitats at our new Animal Community Center. The colorful paintings really brighten up the walls. Kira Od

Born 1960, New York City. Self-taught. Sculptor of part-man/part-animal, bronze HYBRIDS since 1994. Sculptor of all-animal, stainless steel WELDINGS since 2007. Shamelessly fascinated with animals. Pick a phylum -- any phylum – she loves them all.

Ron Burns

After Ron's initial series of paintings of his own "kids," he started visiting animal shelters and taking photos of other dogs, like Zeke, and cats to use as models. After selling portraits of these images, he returned a percentage of proceeds back to support the shelters.

Jump Cutters

HSSV first partnered with Jump Cutters to produce a short video to showcase our adoption program for donors, volunteers and members of the community. Jump Cutters then worked with HSSV to produce a half-hour documentary titled “Cats Without a Home,” which was featured on several TV stations. Jump Cutters was founded by Todd and Katherine Lehr who joined forces to create socially conscious videos that engage audiences to the point of action. NBC Bay Area

Society Dog
HSSV has partnered with Society Dog to offer opportunities for people to bond with their canine companions. Society Dog promotes the socialization of dogs and creates communities of responsible dog lovers that enjoy unusually fun events with their pets.  Society Dog offers a free six-month Prefurred Membership to all dogs adopted from HSSV.
