The Fur Ball 2010 - "Top Hat & Tails"

The Fur Ball Draws Hundreds of Animal Enthusiasts
Humane Education Programs Highlighted

HSSV's black-tie fundraiser, The Fur Ball, was a huge success with tickets selling out early and grossing more than $445,000 for our shelter animal guests. More than 400 people and their canine companions dressed in their finest to attend HSSV's seventh annual Fur Ball. This year's theme, "Top Hat & Tails" paid tribute to the glamorous 1940's Hollywood icons, and celebrated all the ways our own animal "stars" touch our hearts and enrich our lives. Local celebrities Lissa Kreisler, 94.5 KBAY radio personality, and Craig Herrera, Emmy Award-winning NBC Bay Area meteorologist served as co-hosts.

HSSV's award-winning humane education programs were highlighted in a video montage that illustrated how HSSV's Education Department reaches and engage thousands of youth each year with highly interactive, student-centered and age-appropriate programs.

Thanks to Airin, Derek, Greg, Karen, and Michael, the volunteer photographers of the night, for capturing all of the moments.
