HSSV’s Satellite Adoption Center Grand Opening
The grand opening celebration of HSSV’s new satellite adoption center at PETCO Sunnyvale was a great success. In just one day, 20 pets (17 cats, 2 rabbits and 1 dog) were adopted into loving homes! Dozens of HSSV supporters, animal lovers, and public officials, including Sunnyvale’s Mayor Melinda Hamilton and Chief of Safety Don Johnson, joined our President Carol Novello for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and pet-focused festivities. Joining them were HSSV foster parents and their adorable foster dogs, such as 5-month old Milton, who offered himself up for belly rubs to anyone interested in giving them and Charlotte, a 7-year old Pomeranian mix who charmed visitors with her friendly "smile" and got adopted that day!
Like our first satellite adoption center at PETCO Saratoga, this new location in Sunnyvale, offers nearby residents a convenient way to view adoptable cats, kittens, rabbits and small companion animals in their own neighborhood. The center, features interactive spaces, such as a kitten play room complete with climbing trees and cat toys.
