"Animal Arts" Craft Faire 2010

Humane Society Silicon Valley’s (HSSV) 2nd annual Holiday “Animal Arts” Craft Faire was a barking success!  Held at our Animal Community Center in Milpitas on December 4-5, 2010 , over 2,000 people (and the their pets) strolled our Community Room, Education Center and pet adoption gallerias to shop amongst the 40 different vendors selling quality arts ‘n crafts items.   In addition to the one-of-a-kind pet supplies, jewelry, artwork, and gift items, this event also featured live music by Latin/Jazz guitarist, Ray Soto on Saturday, and a live dog agility demo and personalized autographed t-shirts by cubist infused pop artist Sonya Paz on Sunday.  Pets and families lined up to get their photos taken on Santa Paws’ lap or on a “sleigh ride” with Santa in front of a holiday backdrop of their choice. Hundreds participated in HSSV’s raffle drawings for over 40 prizes and over a dozen silent auctions items, including a hand-crafted doll house, framed pet-themed needle-point artwork, and fresh water pearls.  It was another great event that brought people and pets together.

Thanks to all our participating vendors!  We couldn’t do this event without you!
