HSSV’s “Active Seniors Event”A Big Success!
In early November, we hosted active members of the community age 55+ at our first-ever “Active Seniors Event”. Attendees met adoptable pets, learned about our Foster Care program and browsed 18 vendors offering a variety of products and services.
Participants gathered for a lively presentation about adopting a pet, volunteering at our Animal Community Center and how to leave a legacy to HSSV. There were also ongoing tours of the Animal Community Center.
Many people said how much they appreciated HSSV reaching out to them and recognizing their potential and ability to help us fulfill our mission to save and enhance lives. Dozens of people signed up to volunteer, many signed up their pets for our Pet Guardianship program, and best of all, many adopted some of our sweet animals!
