Animal Pals Club

Description: Humane Society Silicon Valley offers exciting hands-on opportunities for children to learn about and often meet different kinds of animals or animal-care experts, tour our shelter and complete a service-learning project to help the animals in our care.

For Ages: 8 – 12 years old

Scheduled: One Saturday a month from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
We are limited to a maximum of 20 students per class, so complete a registration form and reserve a space today!

Cost:

1 Class	Animal Pals Member 6 months of consecutive classes	Animal Pals Member 12 months of consecutive classes

Complete the online registration form on our website
Sign and mail in a Consent form that can be downloaded from our site or mailed to you
You will receive a confirmation email once we have received your payment

October 9th Feathered Friends 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.	If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, then… Come meet a few different feathered friends and learn all about what they eat and where they live! You may even get to feed one of them!
November 13th My Dog Said What? 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.	What in the world is Rover saying when he does that? Here you will learn what dogs are telling us by the way they move. You will also get to witness firsthand how we match our canines with the perfect families!
December 11th Spread the cheer! 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.	Let’s brighten up the windows during the cold winter season! Students will exercise their creative skills and paint murals on the pet condo windows to be enjoyed by all our visitors.
January 8th Art for Animals 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.	Ever wonder how you can help homeless animals get adopted? During this class you will meet a center guest who is waiting for a home. Join and you’ll find out how your art can help! Don’t think of yourself as an artist? Don’t worry! We’ll show you everything you need to know!
February 12th Help Wanted! 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.	Students will truly make a difference as they participate in various service projects to help the animals in our care. They will also get a behind-the-scenes tour of our center where they will meet a special animal guest who needs their help!
March 12th Vet Adventure 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.	Come with us as we explore a-day-in-a-life of a veterinarian! Here, students will learn about routine check ups and how to keep pets safe and healthy all year long!
