Workplace Giving

Many businesses and corporations offer workplace giving programs, where you can automatically have a percentage of your paycheck go directly to a charity of your choice. In addition, many companies offer “matching gifts”, where they match your donation by 50%, 100%, or even 200%!

Many of our donors love to support HSSV through their workplace giving program, as it’s an easy way to budget their gifts — their donation is deducted prior to receiving their paycheck. Donors still receive gift acknowledgement letters for tax purposes (if HSSV is notified of the donor’s name and address).

Please note that if you donate to HSSV through United Way, a processing fee is initially deducted, and HSSV’s amount received is reduced.

In addition, requesting a matching gift from your company, when available, is a simple way for your gift to go a LONG way in supporting our life-saving mission. This is done either online or via simple paperwork, depending on your matching gift service provider. Please be sure to list the name of the person in your household whose name is on the donation so we can easily confirm the gift for matching.

Depending on where you work, you may easily budget for (and even double!) your gifts to HSSV! Be sure to check with your Human Resources department, or on your intranet, for more information.
