All About Membership

Membership Requirements

To be considered for membership, dogs must:

  • be spayed or neutered,
  • be current on their vaccinations (DA2PP, Bordatella, and Rabies*),
  • have had a clean fecal examination with giardia test** within the past 6-months, and
  • be at least four months old.

Also, to be considered for membership, all dogs must pass a basic behavior evaluation that looks for friendly and social behaviors to be displayed with people and other dogs.  Dogs that are aggressive toward people or other dogs, are excessively under-socialized or fearful, or are frustrated by barriers like fences or leashes may not be good candidates for membership.  Dogs with such challenges are encouraged to go through the evaluation process, but may receive behavior modification or management recommendations from our Behavior Team.  It is our goal to ensure all member dogs will benefit from the dog park experience!

Don’t worry, for busy folks on the go who like to one-stop-shop, our Medical Center offers vaccination, alteration, and fecal examination services at an affordable cost! 

*A Rabies Titer Test may be substituted for a current rabies vaccination.
**Fecal Examinations with Giardia tests help to ensure that your dog does not have common parasites that can be transmitted through feces.  A special price for this test in our Medical Clinic is offered to Dog Park Members. 

Membership Categories & Costs

Different membership categories are available so dogs and their people can enjoy our park at their convenience!

Full Membership $200
The ideal package for those who just can’t get enough of the dog park! Accessible during open park hours 7 days a week, 365 days a year. That’s just 55 cents a day!
Weekend Warriors $99
This is the package for working folks who love to spend weekend days at the park with their canine companion. Accessible Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 8pm.
Build Your Own Park Schedule Varies
A package for those on a schedule that is off-the-beaten-path. Choose which days you would like regular park access. Your membership fee will be developed based on your selection of days!

All memberships are for a period of one year. Fees quoted above are for a single dog; each additional family dog is an extra $25 flat fee. Full Membership and Weekend Warrior fees may be paid in full or in (4) automatic payments. Build Your Own Park Schedule fees must be paid in full.

You can feel good knowing that all dog park membership fees go to support homeless animals in our community!

Membership Benefits

At HSSV, we offer services for the cycle of your pet’s life!  Dog Park members receive special discounts in our Medical Clinic, our Whole Pets store, and on an introductory doggie day care package through our partner at the Animal Community Center, A DOG’s LIFE.  You’ll also receive discounts on select seminars at the Animal Community Center as well as free access to member’s only essential park manners behavior clinics (coming soon).  Members are also invited to exclusive, dog-friendly social events.  Stay tuned for more benefits as our membership package and dog park program continues to grow!
