While we save thousands of homeless pets each year, there are still thousands more in Silicon Valley that need our help.
Every year, Humane Society Silicon Valley makes huge strides in saving homeless animals in our community, finding new and loving homes for these pets. Even though we’ve made significant progress, over 23,000 companion animals still annually enter animal shelters in Silicon Valley.
Many of these pets are sick or injured and there have not historically been enough resources to save them all. Through the efforts of Humane Society Silicon Valley and our five sheltering partners*, 18,000 of these animals are being saved each year. We can save thousands more with your help.
*Humane Society Silicon Valley leads a dedicated alliance of partnering agencies that shelter and save all healthy animals in the area. In fact, in 2011 the alliance received the Maddie’s Fund® Lifesaving Award for saving 100% of healthy animals in our collective care. We are the first community of this size population to be recognized through this award. With this award comes the commitment to save all healthy animals in the community forever going forward.
