Tobie's Story

Tobie was just a puppy when Kelly adopted him. Now, he's living a full and joyful life.

Tobie was adopted by Kelly’s cousin when he was about 8 weeks old, and he was as cute as a button. He was also a LOT of puppy! Kelly got to puppy-sit regularly and her dog Dallas was a great role model for Tobie, not to mention Kelly had raised Dallas from a wee puppy, so she was quite experienced.

And then, Kelly’s cousin realized he was totally out of his league with a young and exuberant pup, Kelly happily took over parenting and adopted Tobie. He was 6 months old.

Tobie’s life has been full and joyful. He gets to go to Fort Funston every weekend, and he is well-traveled. Tobie has road-tripped to San Diego, Los Angeles and regularly visits Lake Tahoe. He has 3 dog siblings – Dallas, Rudy and Cassie. Tobie has fostered over 50 kittens, puppies and dogs in his five-and-a-half years with Kelly. This is a dog who started out in a rescue group and whose life has enriched so many others around him. Tobie is an athletic, well-trained and well-loved dog, "living the life of Riley" – or should we say “living the life of Tobie”?
