Mutual Rescue™ Film Festival 2016
In early 2016, we compiled a national call for engaging animal lover stories; numerous stories were submitted. A panel of high-profile judges selected four of the best stories, and those films were premiered at the Mutual Rescue™ Film Festival in the heart of Silicon Valley, Cupertino, CA on September 18, 2016.
The film festival served two purposes: to showcase films that celebrate how humans and animals can save each other, and to publicly debut the Paint a Better Future™ campaign. It was a truly memorable event made better with the particpation of our deeply passionate community of supporters.
The four films from the film festival will be released over the course of 2017 allowing open access to the relevance of the human-animal bond. You can view the first of our 2017 films, Kylie & Liza, a Mutual Rescue™ film, here.
Eric & Peety, a Mutal Rescue™ film, our first film which launched in February 2016, has been viewed more than 88 million times across the globe from Denmark, to Chile, to Thailand, and beyond. It has been shared over 500,000 times with over 50,000 comments.
Thank you to the sponsors of the Mutual Rescue™ Film Festival!
